Simon reassures Susan

It seems Simon Cowell is showing his softer side.

The Britain's Got Talent judge has shaken off his Mr Nasty image and called Susan Boyle to reassure her.

The singer is being treated at the Priory after an "emotional breakdown". According to the Daily Mirror he reportedly told her: "Whatever you decide, I will support you unconditionally."

Susan is expected to be at the clinic for two weeks, meaning she would miss the start of the Britain's Got Talent tour.

The spinster, who was said to be worried about her career, has been talking to Simon about recording an album and Simon has told her that everything is in place "when she's ready".

A friend of Simon's told the paper: "He wanted to speak to Susan to let her know he is thinking about her, and also that she does not need to do anything at the moment except get better.

"They had a long conversation and, hopefully, it made Susan feel a bit better. She is on the mend and doing well.

"One of her big fears was going back to Scotland without winning because in her mind that would have been a failure.

"Simon told her she had done brilliantly and that she was a great singer who was going to record a great album when she was ready. It is just what Susan wanted to hear."
